The Rutgers Human Dignity Awards were held on April 26, 2009 and presented by President McCormick. Congratulations to the Recipients! Read the story here.
We funded many diverse and culturally-rich programs this year including poetry readings, conferences, seminars, leadership retreats, dance and musical performances, theater, festivals, film series, art exhibits, and more! Read about them here. We look forward to seeing more programs as wonderful as these for next year! If you need funding for a culturally-enhancing campus event, check our website later in the summer to download an application for grant funding for 2009-2010.
Jenny Kurtz joined us in fall 2008 as our new Coordinator of LGBT Programs. She previously worked at Smith College’s Resource Center for Sexuality and Gender. She thoroughly enjoys working with the Rutgers community and looks forward to a new year of programs for 2009-2010. You can learn more about her here.
The office work-study student, Christine Hsu, graduated in May 2009 with her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and History from Rutgers, and leaves our office to participate in a teaching program in Philadelphia.
Alexandria Dick, Graduate Assistant, completed her Master of Arts in Women’s and Gender Studies at Rutgers in summer 2009. She leaves our office in fall 2009 to work with the Center on Violence Against Women and Children, and to begin her PhD program with the School of Social Work at Rutgers.
We wish them both luck in their future endeavors!
