Christina Bilinski - Manager for Communications, Transition Planning & Training RIAS Project.

Ms. Bilinski gave a presentation on the new RIAS project. She outlined the timetable, training, and proposed potentiality of the program. General information can be found on the Web at WWW.RIAS.Rutgers.Edu.

Pres. Beaudrow made reference to the Grievance Procedure question that was brought up at last meeting. Sue reiterated that we, as an assembly, are not in a situation to handle such problems. Sue was reminded that Brenda Lewis from HR is supposed to get back to the Assembly with a written definition of the grievance procedures for us to review.

Brenda Lewis will also discuss with the Assembly next year’s P4P #’s. As of 10/20/00 they were not prepared.

Nancy Winterbauer stated that she has asked Employee Relations to see what other Colleges and Universities are doing about grievances and report back to her as soon as possible.

Paul Herman of the Mediation Center has volunteered their services for Problem Solving issues.

He has also offered to us a training course on Mediation either for credit or as an audit course. At the end of the course the participant would be certified as a Mediator. He can be reached through e-mail at PAHerman@RCI.Rutgers.Edu .

President Beaudrow presented Pat Grove with a commemorative clock thanking her for her service as President.

Nancy Winterbauer presented Pat with a certificate/gift commemorating her past service to the Assembly.
