Conchagua

Not much to say about this small composite volcano, but what a house raising! Photo by G. Fairbrothers.  It is clear in this picture that the slopes of a composite volcano are shallow at the base, then progressively steepen, until near the summit, where they flatten out again because of the summit crater.
