Take advantage of a unique opportunity to try out a protein mini-prep kit under development in the Biochemistry and Microbiology Department. We believe this kit could be very useful in your research or teaching. In less than 30 minutes, you can extract a protein of interest from unlysed cells, remove all DNA, remove most contaminating proteins, remove all lipids and most water soluble pigments, lower absorbance at 280 nm by up to 100-fold, concentrate the sample up to 50-fold, lower viscosity and clarify the sample to facilitate optical assays.
