Inspector, Mosquito Extermination County of Sussex, Office of Mosquito Control, Department of Environmental and Public Health.
Under direction, performs field inspections to locate and identify mosquito breeding areas; does related work as required; Performs visual inspections of mosquitoes in their hiding or breeding areas (for example, ditches, private roads, or other similar areas where stagnant water exists) to site evidence of their presence. May apply approved chemicals and biological controls using protective clothing such as gloves, face masks, goggles, respirators, and so forth, according to appropriate methods and techniques using manual or power equipment such as pressurized spray pumps; does related duties as required.
Requirements: One year experience in mosquito control extermination work. Ability to take and pass commercial pesticide applicator exam for this position.
Annual Salary: $32,784 to $56,743
