Professional Education

 Scott Crans of the Office of Continuing Professional Education (OCPE) offers several courses designed to implement and improve quality mosquito control work.  These include understanding mosquito biology, habitats and mosquito identification, including the separation of the members of Culex to CDC standards.  Scott also offers courses on a variety of control techniques, including pesticide applicator training in Core. Categories include 8B (mosquito control), 8A (general public health), 10 (research and demonstration), and 11 (aerial application).  Other courses include director management training, where administration techniques are developed.
